AUTOGRAPHED HOCKEY JERSEYS

Ok... going to have to rant a bit so I hope you bare with me. You don't have to read this either so move along if you don't want to read my blabber. Last night, the Canucks lost the game 7 to the Boston Bruins and lost the Stanley Cup as a result. Ok.. that stung and it is no doubt depressing... But the sad part what was what ensued. By now you have all probably seen the carnage that took place in downtown Vancouver as people rioted and destroyed cars and stores. Cars were flipped over and police cruisers were lit on fire as people posed in front of the camera with these things going on in the background. Good samaritans were being attacked and several people were stabbed. What the hell was this for? Why destroy your own city?? What was your game plan? Do these people have nothing better to do with their lives other than to destroy things? To me that question is rhetorical because there are some sad low lives in this earth that quite frankly don't deserve to be here. If you want to destroy, isolate it to yourself and be done with it. We are so sickened by what happened last night and cannot believe that Vancouver is leaving such an impression on others when this is not what the city is about.

I was downtown watching the game and thankfully we left after the first car was lit on fire. We were only a city block away from that incident. When I came home and turned on the news it was baffling what was going on... It was like a war zone down there. This is not what hockey is about, this is not what being a Vancouverite is about. I could use multiple expletives at this point but will refrain... There is just no words that can convey the disappointment that no doubt most residents here feel at this disgusting event.

For those that were down there, I hope you got out safely. For those who participated in the riot, I really hope you get what you deserve. In the technological world we live in today, no doubt a few of you will be brought to justice simply by virtue of your moronic intent on publicizing your deeds on facebook, tumblr, etc. Finally, for those that took part in the cleanup efforts today, THANK YOU. It was great meeting a few of you and taking part in cleanup today. This is what Vancouver is about. We are a community that cares about our city. Vancouver will always be my home and we should be proud of that - even if we have to clean up people's shit.

Nicolas is my eldest son

He is leaving this week end for the 2010 World Championships in Paris

I would like to focus on an interesting fact which is additional reason for my pride
Nicolas is currently doing a Master's in financial engineering at Hautes Etudes Commerciales in Montreal
He is also founder and President of a new firm named Fencing Replay
Fencing calls were often hotly contested despite the electronic sensors attached to the fencer's sabers as well as the fencing protective & electronic sensor sensitive clothing ..
Nico founded Fencing Replay in order fill the need to finally eliminate the need to contest debatable judging and through touch screen computer and big screen video replay and bring fencing refereeing into the modern ages .
Fencing through Nicolas"s efforts has in the early stages of benefitting with instant replay video feedback seen in many of the leading sports (NHL Hockey and professional Football .)
This year's world cup of soccer was lambasted given the world cup had not instituted new rules allowing for timely use of instant replay technology.

For example fencing action ( When both athletes are trying to score a point ) can be decided by milliseconds !!!

He tells me that other combat sports are interested in his technology

Well it is 14 -14 in the individual saber semi finals

Nicolas seemingly wins the crucial 15th and final point ( Official Judging )

The decision is appealed within the new rules brought on because of Fencing Replay technology.

After Fencing Replay analysis the point is awarded to the Venezuelan fencer

As a result of the appeal Nicolas was awarded the Pan American Bronze medal

New technology ( Which I think will be used at the World Fencing Championships )
